After 3 weeks in hospital, boy who survived flood tragedy released
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The 5-year-old boy who was swept down an Albany creek is out of the hospital.
The Oregonian reports he was released Tuesday, after three weeks in Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland.
Maliki Wilgus and his father, Christopher Wilgus, survived after their car was swept from a grocery store parking lot Jan. 19 into rain-swollen Periwinkle Creek.
Two others in the car, Catherine McLaughlin, 18, and her 20-month-old son Aiden, died.
