Crash pushes car into path of oncoming school bus | News

LEBANON, Ore. - A car stopped to make a turn got rear-ended by a truck and pushed into the path of an oncoming school bus Monday morning.
A boy in the car waiting to turn was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released. None of the three children aboard the bus, nor the bus driver, was injured.
The crash happened around 10 a.m. on Highway 20 near Lebanon.
According to Trooper Casi Hegney-Bach, a 1996 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Robin L. Ross, 48, of Lebabon was stopped on westbound Hwy 20 waiting to turn left onto Gore Drive when the car was struck in the rear by a 1987 Ford pickup driven by Allen M. Manley, 43, of Lebanon.
After impact, the Ford Crown Victoria rotated into the eastbound lane where it was hit a second time by an eastbound Lebanon Community School District bus whose driver wasn’t able to avoid the secondary collision, state police said.
The bus driver, Paula M. Shoulders, 40, from Lebanon, and the three child passengers, ages 4 – 5, were not hurt.
A 9-year-old boyin the Ford Crown Victoria was taken to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis with minor injuries where he was treated and released. The driver, Ross, was not injured.
Manley had a minor injury and declined transport to a hospital.
Oregon State POlice was assisted at the scene by Lebanon Police Department, Lebanon Medics, Linn County Sheriff’s Office and ODOT.
